Whats the best way to apply powder foundation?

I just got powder foundation. Whats the best way to apply it without it looking too thick or caky. It came with a little pad, should I use that, or is a brush better? And, if I have it on all day, should I apply it sometimes during the day too? Or will it stay on OK?Whats the best way to apply powder foundation?
you should try both to see what works best for you of course, but i think that using a brush is better.

make sure that you tap away all the excess powder before applying it to your face :)





it depends on your skin type. for instance, if you have more oily skin, then its more likely that you would have to re-apply.

Powder sets your makeup, creating a shine-free, even finish. Use loose powder at home, and carry a pressed powder compact for a midday touchup.





Apply a loose powder after you have completed the application of your foundation and concealer, and before applying eye makeup.





Release powder into the top section of the container by tipping the container and gently tapping the bottom.





Take a large fluffy brush or a powder puff and dip it into the powder. Tap the tool lightly over the container to remove any excess.





Dust your face with powder. Stroke your face gently to cover all areas evenly.

I use a big brush and I think it works better then the pad. The pad makes it look cakey sometimes.
Use Kabuki Brush, it is much more easier to apply powder foundation. Apply it in circular motion, then in part that need more coverage you can re-do it again. It will look natural not cakey.





And it is depend with your skin type, if you have oily skin probably you will need another application during the day. For best result, absorb the oil with the oil paper. Then apply it again.


But, if you find that your foundation still sit nicely on your skin during the day.... so you dont need another application of your foundation.
