How to make foundation powder not look crusty on your skin?

I use Bare Minerals and I love it but I also have a few blemishes and instead of covering it, the powder outlines it to make it more noticeable and it gets really crusty and I just end up taking all the make-up off because the pimples only get more noticeable.





I've tried liquid foundation but it just does the exact same thing. I also don't like it because it gives you a cakey feelings and it was too time-consuming for me.





I want my skin to be smooth so application will be easy and the foundation won't look all crusty.How to make foundation powder not look crusty on your skin?

Bare minerals is great, but it's not for everyone. It sounds like it's not working for you. You can find other foundations (such as semi matte and matte foundations) that will work better to cover up acne.How to make foundation powder not look crusty on your skin?
okay i use Bare Minerals don't stop using that others are bad for your face and if someone tells you that they are all the same don't believe them okay i had the same problem but this is what i did


go and get CeraVa lotion and put that on befor you but the powder on than if you still have it kinda crsty lookin put somemore on i that spot only


and what is great about the lotion is that its not think and heavy
the reason they are crust is because the Bare Minerals is drying it up. so it actually a good thing. you just have to wait it out. before you knwo it you wont have any. and make sure you are using the right tone for your skin. because if you not that tends to high light the pimples more. match it yourself the chicks at the counter do not know anything. i am a yellow tint on my skin and the lady tried to sell me a pink/red lol i was like uhhh no im good so i got the one i like. so jsut make sure. but keep wearing it dont take it off. because it helping your pimples.

Do you use the Bare Minerals Skin Rever-Upper? I use and love Bare Minerals. I use the Skin Rever-Upper under the makeup to keep my skin from looking dry. If you do not have the Skin Rever-Upper, just use a good moisturizer!! Hope this helps. Have a great day!!
Do you use moisturizer before you put on your foundation?


Sometimes skin can become flaky/crusty when you use the powder because it is too dry. Try using moisturizer, and see how you go? :]

One thing i don't agree with is when someone recommends something specific for someone bc it may not work for you. you need to figure out what your skin type is. What I think you should do is when you wash your face use an exfoliating cleanser that will help with blemishes and then use a moisturizer that help control oils bc that is what causes blemishes. As soon as you get out of the shower pat dry your face and use the oil control moisturizer. Also try cocoa butter its great for any skin you may want to avoid the t-zones bc that may make you oily.
