My powder foundation brush is really dry and hard! How do I make it soft again?

I bought my powder brush from Clinique, and it was really soft when I bought it.


Then it started getting hard and rough.





I tried cleaning it with a conditioner, but it stayed the same.


I believe that the brush makes a big difference on how the powder looks on your face, so how can I make it soft?

I use Clinique brushes and haven't had that problem. I would gently wash it with baby shampoo and let it air dry for 24 hours. If that doesn't solve the problem, take it back to the Clinique counter you bought it from and ask for a replacement. I have found the Clinique ladies to be very helpful when I have a problem with one of the products.My powder foundation brush is really dry and hard! How do I make it soft again?
I wash all my brushes in a glycerin soap or Johnson's Baby Shampoo.


Have you thought about brushes made by Bare Escentuals. I have had mine for years, and just washing them is enough. I have never had that problem.


If all else fails, go back to Clinique and just let them know. They are pretty good with that stuff, and I am sure will replace it for you.
you should try crushing it with a small stick or object, be very careful in case it spills.
it'll probably be best if you just bought a new one.
