I need a powder foundation that would last through the heat?

My school is HOT. It's like 90 degrees and there's no AC anywhere..not even in gym. My face gets a little sweaty and my makeup looks kinds shiny. Is there one that will last better? I use Loreal's true match.I need a powder foundation that would last through the heat?
Then you need faerie organic minerals. I am a professional makeup artist and I use it on all my clientele. I need a dependable foundation that does not get greasy or oily (which is horrible for photos) and that has staying power even in the very hottest conditions (photography lights are brutal) I need something that is light, airy, natural looking and leaves a healthy airbrushed glow. This is why I go with Faerie Organic minerals their makeup holds to all my expectations and lasts all day. Most of my clientele buy it after I use it on them as they are so impressed. I use it too. They have a FREE sample kit so you can try before you buy at their site (you just pay shipping-like $5.99) check it out here, I know you'll love it. http://www.faerieorganic.com ................ On another note.. Do NOT use Bare Escentuals! They use a cheap filler called bismuth oxychloride which is not a actual mineral (as they claim) but a metal that has been processed with tin and copper. Because of this ingredient many people have extreme side effects such as rash, itching and in some cases cystic acne. It is also because of this ingredient that your face looks very greasy and shiny, which is not what you are looking for. I need a powder foundation that would last through the heat?
I use Avon's Smooth Mineral foundation. It is like Bare Minerals, but better. It works just as well, but isn't as expensive. A few of my friends have switched from Bare Minerals to Smooth Mineral because they liked the way my makeup looked. They say the will not change back. They love Avon's makeup %26amp; love having the extra money to spend on other things.

I live in Western Tennessee. It gets very hot %26amp; humid here. July %26amp; August are well into the 90's with very high humidity. It makes it hard to find makeup that doesn't feel sticky and get shiny. This has worked really good for me.

I tried Loreal's mineral makeup before I bought this. I was paying $12 or more for Loreal at Wal-Mart, but it didn't stay on all day. I switched about 5 months ago. I pay $10 or less if it is on sale %26amp; don't have to pay shipping. I order from the website I have listed on here %26amp; I can always get free shipping codes. The new one is FSANY.

They have a 100% guarantee to. I ordered some blush. I used it %26amp; didn't like the color. They let me exchange it...no problem.
Sephora Foundation is great for that

I use it
bare minerals works really well. it's in the high 80s and 90s here and i used it all summer %26amp; it was great!

  • What kind of Foundation/Powder should I use?

Im looking for a new foundation or powder that I could use. Perferably MAC, or sephora, or smashbox?

I have acne prone skin (i do have acne right now) and I know its bad to use makeup over it, but i need something that will help the acne be covered. Any suggestions? What kind of Foundation/Powder should I use?
WOW MAC AND SMASHBOX IS THE WORST MAKEUP YOU CAN USE IF YOU HAVE ACNE PRONE SKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT USE THAT!!!!!!!!!!

Even if mac has that mineral makeup youll still breakout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Sephora they have a mineral compact

its from the sephora brand! its like $24 its reallly good! i didnt breakout from that!

OR i would HIGHLY recommend using PUR they have it at Ulta

I have the worse skin EVER its sooooo sensitve lol and especially when i was using MAC omg it made it worse!

But with the Sephora and PUR compact i havnt broken out!

and ive been using that for couple years now!!!What kind of Foundation/Powder should I use?
I use something called Borghese You might of heard of it. It usually is really pricey, unless you get it at a place called Costco. It has foundation/base, eyeshdow, and much more check it out. Plus its great at covering up your acne!!! =) Hope this helps!!!=P
Doir make up forever or something like that

    its a really good foundation

but it feels like u have NOTHING On ur face
You should definitely try the smashbox cosmetics that you can get from Sephora. Try the healthy fx foundation that's oil free which is a good thing along with smashbox camera ready concealer which is oil free and won't clog up your pores (creating more acne)! You should also invest in smashbox primer which is AMAZING and will MAKE a huge difference in how the foundation covers up your flaws and it just makes the whole application of foundation on your face appear flawless, smooth, and moisturized. Also I recommend using a foundation brush because applying with a brush can give you an even and flawless appearance verses a cakey look that you can get with a sponge or your fingers. I have all 3 products and LOVE them to death it's definitely worth buying!

What do you think of a guy who wears powder foundation and concealer for dark circles?

I think guys that wear foundation are cool!

My husband wears mineral foundation everyday and nobody knows that he does. His complexion looks so perfect and he got the right shade for his skin tone that's why it looked really nice. He loves the SPF 15 that goes with the mineral make up. We are using the same brand only of different shade.

Wearing Mineral foundation is his big secret for a flawless and fresh looking face.. and nobody knows about it but me. :)What do you think of a guy who wears powder foundation and concealer for dark circles?

Is it noticeable? I like Marilyn Manson and he wears makeup, but that's a different story. If it's not noticeable, who cares? It's weird, but if nobody else knows, it's our little secret.
I dont think powder is nessasary..

But im all for a guy who wears concealer :]

It is a mineral foundation and is supposed to be used with a Kabuki brush for best coverage. However you can only buy it on the internet and because of this, you can buy samples to try and find the right colour for you (99p each) before buying the full sized version(about 拢7.00 i think) and wasting your money because you got the wrong colour. • Which powder foundation brand is better: Bare Minerals or Mary Kay?

I have both bare minerals and mary kay mineral foundations. I'm not sure which one is better so please give me some insight on which one you like better. Thanks so much!Which powder foundation brand is better: Bare Minerals or Mary Kay?
my aunt is a mary kay supplier so i have tried it for free but i prefer the bareminerals, i just think it gives better coverage with out getting patchyWhich powder foundation brand is better: Bare Minerals or Mary Kay?
I have used both (and still have both) and overall I prefer the Bare Minerals. The Mary Kay one is good quality and I really like their brush, but I can't get good coverage with it like I can the Bare Minerals. The thing I like about it is it has a totally matte finish. The Bare Minerals gives a sort of dewy, natural look (although turns matte when you use the mineral veil) that not everyone will like. I've heard people complain it's too sparkly, but I've never experienced that. Anyway what I did was mix part of each together to make a new kind of foundation. It gave slightly more coverage than just the plain Mary Kay but had a more matte finish than the Bare Minerals. But that's just me, I like to play around like that :).
I use Mary Kay Mineral Foundation and just love it. It has great coverage (believe me i know...i need tons of coverage) and i like that it feels and looks like i'm not wearing anything. I've never tried Bare Minerals although I did want to...but I'm sticking w/ MK...I work for the company so its more economical for me than buying BM and i love all their new mineral prods.

well bare minerals is good for a natural glow and mary kay i have not tried so i would say bare minerals because bare minerals is very healthy for the skin

How do you get powder foundation out of carpet?

I'm guilty, this has happened to me too. I would vacuum up any loose soil first. I would then get some heavy duty Resolve and blot out as much as you can. You will probably still have a spot, so I would get a steam cleaner and steam clean the heck out of it! It worked for me. Hope it works for you!How do you get powder foundation out of carpet?
Here is a site that I would highly recommend. They have very high quality stain removal techniques. I would suggest repeating the process after the first application, and rinsing the rug out with cool water in between applications. Best of luck!

Should I get maybelline mineral power foundation powder or physicians formula?

I have dry skin, but in my T-zone i have oily skin. I need a natural look. Which one lasts longer and is good for my skin type?Should I get maybelline mineral power foundation powder or physicians formula?
I've found that physician's formula is good for sensitive skin, but it loos really unnatural and cakey.

I've never used maybelline mineral powder, but I'd go with that.

Best powder/foundation to give that flawless finish?

I live in England, so something I can get locally please. I have pretty good skin with a bit of a tan, since I've just been on holiday. I have a few bumps here and there. I just want a powder or something to get a fuller, more photoshopped look without looking like I've caked on a load of slap. Anyone?Best powder/foundation to give that flawless finish?
Try Neutrogena Tinted Moisturizer in SPF 20. You could layer this to get a better coverage.Best powder/foundation to give that flawless finish?
Hi, what I like is Chanel Double perfection powder. It feels very good on the skin, doesn't look cakey and has a SPF. You can definetly get it back home and see, you will like it. Just have the girls match you, so it looks natural.
    maybelline.

I wear foundation and the powder foundation, and by the end of the day i always look greasy?

    how can i avoid this?

alsoo, i only wear mascara, (waterproof)

and for some reason it smudges too occasionally.

help?I wear foundation and the powder foundation, and by the end of the day i always look greasy?
i am in the same boat with the foundation, i actually just asked the same question about 5 minutes ago haha. and the mascara smudges because you have oily skin, like me. what i do is i bought a tube from sephora called eyelash primer by urban decay, and it's a white susbstance like mascara that you apply before mascara. it looks exactly like mascara only the substance is white, you let it dry, then apply mascara. i do this to both my bottom and top eyelashes and it never moves anymore. also i use lash blast waterproof mascara. it will not budge.I wear foundation and the powder foundation, and by the end of the day i always look greasy?
I'd say you're wearing to much if it looks greasy and I dunno about the mascara. Try changing brands?
well i think your mascara smudges because your face might have some lotion or something oily on it, because everytime I wear mascara and i have soem type of lotion it smudges, and for your foundation im not really sure

    BuShRa :)
Just go to the store and but the oil blotters. They are thin sheets of paper that collect all of the oil, so your face doesn't look shiny. Or by foundation that doesn't have oil in it. You can also buy clear mascara, so it can't smudge.
I have the same problem with my foundation and I wear powder foundation. :(
usually the case with foundation looking greasy or 'cakey' is when your using a product on your face that doesn't have enough oil in it. That means it doesn't moisturize your skin enough and makes your pores bigger. The foundation then seeps into the pores INTO your skin, which can also make you break out. You can avoid it by getting a moisturizer. Clinique is the best.
Skip the liquid foundation. Plus the makeup you're using is probably cheaply made and horrible quality. Try BareMinerals.

What do you think of a guy who wears powder foundation and concealer for dark circles?

With a foundation, you don't have to spurge. I'm biracial and I help my mother find shades that fit her best. While there's always something for someone with departments store brands, you can also go with over drug store brands and get the same results. Iman has a self titled cosmetic line and Cover Girl has a collection, called Queen, that specializes in darker hues. I think you can buy both at Target.

With a concealer, I recommend you invest in a good one.

I've never tried Bare Minerals although I did want to...but I'm sticking w/ MK...I work for the company so its more economical for me than buying BM and i love all their new mineral prods.

well bare minerals is good for a natural glow and mary kay i have not tried so i would say bare minerals because bare minerals is very healthy for the skin

i have the same problem, and it sucks! what you can try is the dream matte mouuse or however you spell that. but if you like powder, like me, then every night before you go to bed, be sure to wash your face, then put some face lotion on, like ceraVe. that's the shizz. and when your skin feels smooth, try the powder againEvery time i try to put on powder foundation it just cakes up on my skin and looks gross?
Don't give up. I have really dry skin too and I use Pur Minerals. I like the way it looks. Sometimes, it's not the makeup, it's the way you apply it.

Make sure you prepare your skin so that the powder won't cake or flake. Here's something that may help:

Try a light moisturizer on your face before putting on the powder, but I would just use a light liquid foundation with moisturizer in it.
Try a creme foundation. They work really well and appear natural.
You need some lotion on your face first! That's why it looks so cakey or flakey.
Yeah try liquid, but it might clog your pores.
you should keep ussing what ever your using but when your finished pout some moisterizer on the top of it, it thins out the make up youve put on making it less cake face (:

    hope i helped
try to get the foundation that has lotion in it , i think theres a new one from olay
    you should try liquid
From the queen of dry skin (me, that is): Powders are horrible for dry skin and mineral powders such as bare minerals are worse. MAC's moistureblend is good for dry skin, but it can look a bit heavy in the day. Some liquid foundations are just as dry looking as powers, watch out for words such as oil absorbing, talc-free, matte or powder finish. These all contain a powder base suspended in a water or silicone base. Talc-free powders, also known as mineral foundations are made with clay, mica, and/or bismuth oxychloride, all are oil absorbers and make dry skin even drier. Talc, on the other hand can be blended with silicones and slip agents, allowing the powder to feel a bit more creamy. Chanel and Dior both have elegant, creamy talc-based powders; unfortunately they are hideously expensive. . You need to look for terms such as creme, dewy finish, and emollient. What I like best for my skin is tinted moisturizers. Tinted moisturizers are light and sheer and leave just a hint of dewy colour. They don't settle into lines, they keep skin hydrated and many contain sunscreens. Most department store lines carry at least one tinted moisturizer or light sheer foundation. You will need to test these on you skin to see if you like the results. Many department store cosmetics lines allow you to test before you buy, do take advantage of testers and see how the foundation looks and feels on your skin in natural light. It can be frustrating, finding a good foundation for your skin takes a bit of time and lots of testing. Good luck.

Is powder foundation bad for my skin?

I have mild acne and I wanted to use just a thin layer of foundation on it.

But I've heard that it clogged pores and I've also heard that it acts as a protector against UV rays from the sun.

also, using milk of magnesia on ur face helps control oil, works great as a makeup primer, and won't break you out. Just apply a thin layer; it won't make you look chalky. You can find it in the laxative/antacid section of the drugstore and its cheap. I use cherry scented kind. My skin is so oily, and it's helped more than anything.
I hear that Bare Minerals is all natural and it won't clog your pores and it hides basically everything on your face, it's dermatologist reccomended, I've used it, and it works great..

Although it's kind of expensive :/

I hope you find one good though :D
All make up products have chemicals that may be the cause of skin problems, including foundations. Try using those mineral foundations, I heard they have less chemicals and uses natural minerals instead.
it depends what kind of foundation you use.it can be bad because it can contain unnatural ingredients.try bare minerals foundation or my fav clinque
mineral powder foundation doesn't clog pores and covers pretty good.
no it isnt but maybe look into the Luminous Air Airbrush kit it hide everything! :))

If you have only had it for a month I'd take it back to MAC. They will probably damage it out and give you a new one. It's hard to believe that it broke after that short of a time. I've been using MAC for years and the only time I've had to break up is when I only have a tiny ring around the edge of the compact left. If they don't take the return use a large fluffy brush to apply it. I use one always. My MAC Studio Fix powder foundation broke into tiny pieces, is there any way that I could fix it?
dont try forming it. i know for experience your better off putting it in a baggy or a plastic container and getting a powder brush.
i'm not sure if this will help but, here's a tutorial i found a while ago that shows how to make mac pigment into a harder eyeshadow.

    good luck :]
You can't fix it but you can you a powder brush and treat it like a loose powder foundation.
nope my friend did that to her chanel powder.. she just put it in a baggie.. lol gehtto but it works

    You can't fix it :-(

That's happened to be before, it's so annoying. The only thing you can do is just use it as you did before but bet very careful when you open it. Especially if you keep it in your purse because it moves around and stuff and sometimes it can make the powder even more broken. If it's really bugging you, buy a new one. Otherwise, keep using it as you did before and just be cautious.
That's happened to me before. Try molding it together...but otherwise I don't think there is a way to fix it. Just save the empty container because 6 MAC containers= 1 free lipstick when you bring them in.

Use a primer and lightly dust with a good loose powder.

    PRIMERS

    Rimmel Makeup Primer

Sephora Skin Smoothing Makeup Base (said to really make a difference)

    Smashbox Photofinish Foundation Primer
try to dab it gently but make sure you put enough on the brush , don't overcoat put an even amount this way you won't use a lot!!

Powder foundation making my face look furry?

Whenever I use powder foundation, it tends to make my face look furry; some more than others.

I've tried putting moisturiser below it to stop the furry-ness, but it only helps a wee bit.

Also, it tends to go quite clumpy on my nose.

I use Virgin Vie One Step Face Base just now.

Any advice on how to get rid of this?Powder foundation making my face look furry?
Your skin type isnt the right type for powder.

The furryness is the small hairs on our face but are showing as your skin is not agreeing with the makeup try cream foundation or cream to powder.Powder foundation making my face look furry?
you're using too much. it's probably your brush, or whatever you use to apply it. if you put the powder on the brush and then shake it off a little to take the excess off, then it probably won't do that. i had the same problem, and that's what it was for me. also, it doesn't help to put moisturizer on first. you need to put it on after the moisturizer has kindof sunk in and all. the moisturizer clumps it. try less moisturizer and shake off the brush before applying. also what you can try, is after you apply it, if it's making your face look furry, then just lightly brush a clean makeup brush over your face to take any extra off your face. it's just too much powder that's making it look furry. good luck!
This happened to me and now it doesnt.

I'll tell you what i did when to stop it happening.

Exfoliate my face with Clean and Clear in the morning.

You cannot rush this. I take my time, making sure i get scrub every bit of my face. I'll spend nearly 10 mins at the most.

Sometimes i will Soap and Glory- scrub your nose in it.

Then after Moisurise with Clean + Clear Moisturiser.

Spend about nearly 10 mins doing this too, its got to soak into th skin.

Then when applying my make up i use:

    Bare Minerals in ivory colour.

Then i lightly brush Dream matte powder over my face.

When it gets to my eyes, thats when i be most gentle.

It might be a good idea to invest in good Make-up Brushes.

At Night, i remove my make up with make-up wipes,

Any wipes will do, sometimes i even use baby wipes.

Then go over my face in Clean + Clear Moisturiser,

again carefully taking my time to do so.

    Good Luck,

I hope your skin's working for you in no time.

the same think happens to me .

    it sucks.

    how it works
if my face goes furry ish, i usually just wipe over my face quickly with my hands, going downwards.
Try using a liquid foundation or cream. :]
Maybe you could try tapping it on with a cotton wool bud.

Would cream to powder foundation be suitable for dry skin?

and could i wear loose or pressed powder on its own over normal face moisturiser?Would cream to powder foundation be suitable for dry skin?
Yes. You should moisturize first with any makeup.Would cream to powder foundation be suitable for dry skin?
Typically, no. The powdery finish of a cream to powder formula usually makes your dry skin appear even more dry. Stick to a liquid foundation and a light powder to set.

Your best defence against dry skin is to moisturize; inside and out. This means, plenty of water and a good moisturizer formulated for dry skin. Smoking and a bad diet depletes your skin of moisture as does drinking and lack of sleep. Obviously, sunbathing and drug use is murder on your skin!

As for applying powder over a clean face with moisturizer...you can, but again, depending on the powder you are using as it may emphasize your dry skin....depending on how dry you are - your question didn't say. How about trying a tinted moisturizer instead? You'll get moisture for your dry skin and some sheer light coverage as well.

I am in the same boat as you with dry skin and, for me, it's been trial and error with foundations. I'm currently using Clinique's Stay True liquid foundation and like it so far. I use MAC's Blot Pressed powder over top. Currently, I'm using Cetaphil Barrier cream for my moisturizer....I live in Western Canada and our air is quite dry here (and getting worse with the changing of seasons lately, too!) you'll have to choose a cream suitable to your area as well.

Hope this helps. Dry skin is tricky and tough to get back into shape, but it can be done with the right products, water, diet, etc, and determination!

    Good luck!
I am a Mary Kay Cosmetics, Independent Beauty Consultant and we rely on the recommendations from the company and their make-up expert Robert Jones for advice.

According to Mary Kay, Inc. and Robert Jones, Sheer Mineral Pressed Powder is not to be used as a foundation, not for coverage. It is only for setting foundation. Always blot your face to remove any oily areas before applying powder. The new Loose Mineral Powder Foundation is an excellent foundation for all skin types and is good for your skin because it protects your skin while adding needed minerals and elements during the day. The more you buff with the brush, the more it blends. The Mineral Foundaion is applied after cleansing and moisturizing your face with our recommended TimeWise Anti-Aging Cleanser and Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin. If you find, your skin is still to dry with these products, we recommend you try the Advanced Moisture Renewal Treatment Cream or Enhanced Moisture Renewal Cream at bedtime along with the TimeWise Moisturizer in the morning. We also have other products specifically for very dry skin that you may want to try depending on the severity of your dry skin.

Creme to Powder foundation is for all skin types, it is lightweight and oil-free and provides sheer to full buildable coverage. Can be used as makeup or as touch-up, blends easily to even skin tone.

If you have very dry skin, I would recommend you try the Full-Coverage foundation (hydrates up to six hours) or the Day Radiance Cream Foundation (a rich, creamy foundation, helps seal in moisture as it protects from dehydrating conditions, glides on effortlessly for maximum, long-lasting coverage). It really depends on how dry your skin really is. Since you are asking about the loose and pressed powder, I assume you like a shear coverage, so I would start out trying the creme to powder foundation first.

I have some samples of our products that I would be happy to send you if you are interested in trying them before actually purchasing the products. And I need to mention that I ship free of charge, regardless of order size or amount and you have a 100% satisfaction guarantee with Mary Kay products. If for ANY reason, you do not like the products, simply return them to me and I will refund or replace the products 100%, no questions asked. Where does it get any better than that? What do you have to lose?

Let me know if you would like to try some of our products via my website www.marykay.com/juliedbush - just go on there and register and tell me a little about your specific skin care needs and I will mail the samples to you ASAP.

I hope I have answered your questions adequately and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
no it wouldnt be good, i have dry skin and it will just get in the small cracks making you face look even dryer and blotchy. use a cream, or even better a tinted moisturiser if you skin isnt bad
honestly....no. you would need to use liquid makeup and THEN if you incountered any shiney spots on your face use powder to touch them up....I have very oily skin and i have to use powder ALOT!!
I like creams better for my dry skin, I use pressed powder, a tiny dab, on my face to cover shiny spots. Poppy

How to apply cream to powder foundation?

I'm a makeup newbie. I just bought Milani cream to powder foundation and would greatly appreciate some detailed tips on how to apply it. please help!!!!How to apply cream to powder foundation?
you can either apply it with a sponge or with a brush. i found that the sponge gives more coverage but it absorbs the cream so it gives you actually less product. apply just anywhere where you want to and then you can let it dry and if you need more coverage you could go over it again. oh you can also apply it wet if you want to like a liquid foundation but i wouldn't recommend it it gives to much of the product and then your face looks orange. trust me i tried! How to apply cream to powder foundation?
just do it with a sponge or just search for tutorials on youtube.com

You need to wear a primer, like Smashbox's primer or MAC's prep and prime. Don't use CoverGirl, it isn't very good. Try MAC. Go to the counter and ask them what they think is best for you. Probably Studio Fix Fluid because it will last all day, if you want lighter coverage then MAC Face and Body. everyone has made that mistake... i kno i have.. if you have the reciept you should be able to exchange it especially if its from wal-mart or target trust me i have done it before... but so you dont run into these problems try mac they will match you perfectly a bit pricey but you dont have to purchase makeup all the time 1 bottle of foundation is 25-30$$ depending on what type you get... good luck!!
When u get more money get a couple shades lighter and mix it together, ladies have been doing that for yrs, when to get the exact shade, I mix liquid foundation to get the right shade.
If it is loose powder, you could probably mix lighter loose powder into it. Or maybe you could just use a little bit of it as a bronzer or like blush.
wat i do wen i buy a powder that is too dark is a ix a lighter powder into.. do it a little at a time until u reach the desired shade...
i dont know what to tell you. but next time i suggest buying make-up at cvs because they have this policy where they take any make-up back (even if its open) as long as there's a receipt. well, good luck [:
if you dont want to look tacky, just save up for a new one. start going to walmart and cvs where you are allowed to return/exchange with a receipt
My friend did that. She used it as a blusher and it looked really great and natural :)
    Use it as a bronzer[:

All make up products have chemicals that may be the cause of skin problems, including foundations. Try using those mineral foundations, I heard they have less chemicals and uses natural minerals instead.
it depends what kind of foundation you use.it can be bad because it can contain unnatural ingredients.try bare minerals foundation or my fav clinque
mineral powder foundation doesn't clog pores and covers pretty good.
no it isnt but maybe look into the Luminous Air Airbrush kit it hide everything! :))

What's the difference between foundation, powder, blushers, bronzers....?

What is the difference between foundation, powder, blushers, concealer, and bronzer???!!!?! And when should you use them? What's the difference between foundation, powder, blushers, bronzers....?
Foundation is usually a cream, and is used to even out your skin tone, so that it's not blotchy or more red in the cheeks, etc.

Powder is used for the same idea, for an even skin tone, but is made of powder and so feels different from foundation. So foundation is liquid, powder is powder.

Blush is usually a pinkish colour, and is used to give colour to your cheeks, or to define your cheek bones, and if properly applied can make you look more attractive (in theory)

Concealer is not meant to be used all over your face like foundation and powder, but is spot specific, if you have acne so that it is not noticeable. If you want a really natural look just give concealer on the spots that bug you, and thats almost all you'll need :)

Bronzer is like a foundation or powder, but is used to make you look more ';bronze'; or like you have a tan. So you would use this if you havent had time to get out in the sun lately, and want to look like you have. So summer time, not winter (if you live somewhere where the seasons change) or else you'll end up looking like you're wearing it, where its supposed to look natural like in the summer since most people do tan from being outdoors in the summer.

So bronzer in the summer, a bit of foundation or powder all other seasons (which depends on how irritated your skin gets, foundation is used more than powder, and powder more for a finishing touch), blush just if you feel you want to define your cheek bones, and concealer for when you have acne that seems noticeable. It's a lot to take in, but one thing to remember is that you don't really need to wear makeup on a steady basis, most guys even like girls who look more natural :) Remember you're beautiful either way! Hope this helpsWhat's the difference between foundation, powder, blushers, bronzers....?
I love make up. Oh i'm also a beauty advisor its what I do for a living.

1st--Foundation first rule for good make up is having well prepaired skin as in moisturized

2nd--Concealer is more dense than foundation, allowing fuller coverage of trouble spots and hyperpigmentation (red areas). Its used over foundation or on it own, and has greater staying power. Remember, a little goes a long way! oh Tip: Choose the shade of your concealer carefully. When testing out shades, pick one that matches your skin tone or one shade lighter then your concealer. It helps to use a mirror outdoors to see how shades look on your skin in natural light.

3rd--When applying blush, you want the color to look soft and natural, as if it comes from within. Read below for tips on how to put on blush.

    1. Tap or lightly blow on the applicator brush to remove any excess blush before applying to prevent a harsh and uneven application.

    2. Apply your blush on the apple of the cheek and carefully blend towards your natural hairline.

    3. If you have two shades, apply the darker one on the apple of the cheek first, then use the lighter shade to highlight. Blend well so there is no visible line between colors.

    4. Highlight your temples, forehead and chin.

you could so the same with bronzers

4th--A light even dusting of loose powder sets foundation and concealer, giving your face a velvety, more natural finish. It also provides smooth blending for any eye makeup or blush to follow.

    1. Dip a puff or powder brush in loose powder. Shake off excess to avoid uneven distribution, then apply powder over entire face and neck.

    2. To maintain a flawless finish throughout the day, apply pressed powder using a sponge or clean powder brush.

Tip: Face powder can be used alone, over foundation or over your moisturizer for a natural, sheer, no-shine look.

Tip: For the closest color match, choose a powder shade that is 3 shades lighter than your foundation. or use a translucent powder.

Tip: If you are over the age of 30, avoid powdering under the eyes as it can make fine lines and wrinkles appear more obvious.

Tip: Facial oil-blotting sheets help to remove excess oil and shine without disturbing your makeup. Carry them with you everywhere you go!

    yay. i love my job.
    Foundation

Base make-up in liquid, powder or stick form which goes on before anything else, its function is to conceal blemishes and create an even base for the rest of your make-up.

    Concealer

Like a concentrated foundation for smaller blemishes that need more coverage.

    Powder,

Setting powder which takes down shine and sets foundation.

    Blusher

Its function is to give your cheeks colour and create a glow around the cheek bone area, comes in different forms too.

    Bronzer

Gives colour to a pale or sallow complexion and is similar to blusher only is designed for use all over the face, chest and anywhere you want to put it, ALSO comes in different forms.

    Order:

    Foundation

    Concealer

The rest in any order you want.
Foundation is first applied to even skin tone and provide a canvas for makeup. Powder sets the foundation and offers the ability to alter skin town slightly. Blush enhances the rose color of cheeks. Concealer covers blemishes such as acne and redness, and is often much more opaque than foundation or powder. Bronzer provides a sunkissed look, adding more ';bronze'; to your skin tone.
Foundation is used to even out the skin tone. cover up red spots, ect.

Powder is used to make your face more matte (not shiny)

Blush does exactly what it sounds like make you look like you have rosy cheeks

Bronzer is used to make you have a sun kissed glow.

Concealer is used to cover up what the foundation didn't. Like a blemish or scar, ect

There really isn't a specific time that you should wear them... You don't even have to wear any if you don't want. Hope this helps!
foundation is usually liquid and should be avoided. it makes your face look like plastic. same with concealers. usually liquid. powderd makeup is okay if you have good skin. if you have dry skin, oily skin, or acne then you shouldnt use powdered makeup. it'll make your skin look worse. it took me a very long time to realize this, but the only makeup i ever need will bronzer and blush. i have a little acne still because i'm only 17 and also naturally oily skin. bronzer is the only thing that hasn't 1, made my face dry up and flake up, 2, look uneven and undistributed, and it also covers your flaws. try getting bronzer beads! they work the best. smash some of them up and leave some of them whole. make sure you don't get anything too dark. if you want to define your face even more, use blush on your cheeks only! i never started using blush until a couple weeks ago and i LOVE IT. blush is usually a shade of red. bronzer and blush should be applied with a brush. concealers and foundation and even powdered concealers are usually applied with a facial sponge or your hand..not the way to go.

    hope i helped!

oh and make sure you put the bronzer on your neckline too! if you apply it the right way, you don't even need to blend it in. a little bit goes a long way
FOUNDATION: its used to even out your skin tone, and create a base for all your other make-up

POWDER: its very similar to foundation, except it doesn't work as well as foundation. however, it looks a lot more natural (which is why most ppl use both)

BLUSHER: its used to make your cheeks glow....which in turn makes ur face glow

CONCEALER: used to cover a blemish on your face (like a zit or a mole)

BRONZER: used to give you a sunny glow, by making you look (slightly) tanner.

I think everyone should use foundation and powder because its makes skin look smooth and even. You should use blush if you have great cheek bones and want to show them off, or if want your face to glow. You should use concealer if you have a few zits or anything small that you wanna hide. Finally, you should use bronzer if you want a natural, ';I spent the day at the beach'; look.

PS: I don't think anyone should wear bronzer and blush together
foundation- used as a base to even out skintone etc.

concealer - used to conceal blemishes give extra coverage

powder - used to set make up

blush- used to give colour to cheeks

bronzer - used to give a deeper colour to face than natural

you can use them all at once

start off with concealer under the eyes

    then apply foundation

then conceal blemishes and red patches

    then put on your powder

    then apply bronzer lightly

    then add blush

    viola!
foundation is to cover up pimples, blemishes etc.

powder is to keep your face looking oil free also for covering blemishes

blushers are to tint your cheeks

bronzers are for fair skinned ppl who want to appear tan/bronze
    concealer you apply first.

    then foundation

    then blush

    then powder

and bronzer if you want an extra glow

i usally only wear all of them when im going out

    not everyday

for more of an everyday look just try foundation and blush

  • Powder foundation making my face look furry?

    =] x
the same think happens to me .

    it sucks.

i dont know what to do .

so i just dont wear it anymore.

honeslty i think girls look better without it.

can you please answer my ?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?鈥?/a>
    well here is some advice

    1 clean your face

then mostuirize rub in for 1 min

it might be your foundation is crappy

always test a foundation before you buy it

    how it works
if my face goes furry ish, i usually just wipe over my face quickly with my hands, going downwards.

Poppy

I'd say you're wearing to much if it looks greasy and I dunno about the mascara. Try changing brands?I wear foundation and the powder foundation, and by the end of the day i always look greasy?
I have the same problem with my foundation and I wear powder foundation. :(
usually the case with foundation looking greasy or 'cakey' is when your using a product on your face that doesn't have enough oil in it. That means it doesn't moisturize your skin enough and makes your pores bigger. The foundation then seeps into the pores INTO your skin, which can also make you break out. You can avoid it by getting a moisturizer. Clinique is the best.
Skip the liquid foundation. Plus the makeup you're using is probably cheaply made and horrible quality. Try BareMinerals.
Just go to the store and but the oil blotters. They are thin sheets of paper that collect all of the oil, so your face doesn't look shiny. Or by foundation that doesn't have oil in it. You can also buy clear mascara, so it can't smudge.
well i think your mascara smudges because your face might have some lotion or something oily on it, because everytime I wear mascara and i have soem type of lotion it smudges, and for your foundation im not really sure

    BuShRa :)
i am in the same boat with the foundation, i actually just asked the same question about 5 minutes ago haha. and the mascara smudges because you have oily skin, like me. what i do is i bought a tube from sephora called eyelash primer by urban decay, and it's a white susbstance like mascara that you apply before mascara. it looks exactly like mascara only the substance is white, you let it dry, then apply mascara. i do this to both my bottom and top eyelashes and it never moves anymore. also i use lash blast waterproof mascara. it will not budge.
