My cheeks have some redness, and I'd like to cover them up with my new mineral foundation. I applied some foundation, and it covered up a few little imperfections, but didn't really help with the redness. This is the first time I've ever worn foundation and wonder if you could give me some tips on how to apply it to cover the redness? Help? Please and thank you!!!How to apply powder foundation to cover up redness?
You might want to look into a green concealer to apply under your mineral foundation. Mineral foundation is great, but many will not cover redness completely. How to apply powder foundation to cover up redness?
Buy a foundation brush. Maybe it isn't possible to cover all the redness up - and it looks natural to have a little redness. It's like blush! Why would you want the same skin color over your entire face that's kinda scary haha.
But first I take a concealer brush and apply to the little redness spots like pimples (if any) and redness around the nose and such. Then the foundation brush to make a clean palate for any other makeup I plan to wear.
Trust me I took $2000 classes on this stuff!
Ok, well no matter what, you are beautiful! Just wash your face, and dry it. Use lotion and wait five minutes to let it seep into your skin. Use a thick liquid foundation ( use the runny one only as a last result). Apply it with a little sponge, and also use powder foundation if your face is oily. if this doesnt work, put tea leaves on your cheeks to soothe it, and try again. Good luck! (:
The cause of your skin irritation is most likely linked to your past makeup / face lotion choice so give your mineral makeup sometime. It not only covers up redness well, but also due to its natural ingredients helps to cure it as well.
