Powder/foundation??

What's the difference between powder and foundation... i went to go buy some foundation and i saw powder too but it looks like foundation as well.... ?Powder/foundation??
Powder is generally for setting makeup and controlling shine. Some people do use it in lieu of foundation, though most people want foundation because it will provide greater overage.

Also now there are a lot of great mineral foundations which are in powder form. These are very light but still provide the coverage most people want. It's what I use.

Hope this helps!Powder/foundation??
Some powders can be used as foundation but usually give less coverage than liquids. Powder used as foundation should be skin-toned, not translucent (appears light in jar but goes on colorless).

Putting powder on top of foundation- skin-tone or translucent can help ';set'; the other makeup so it stays on longer, and it can also keep away oil and shine.

You can use loose or pressed powder for either task, but loose usually goes on lighter.
foundation can be either in liquid or powder form..typically the liquid gives more coverage but if heavy coverage isn't needed then it's better to use powder because it's lighter on your skin..you can also use liquid foundation and then apply the powder on top of it to set it

some foundations go on as a liquid but then dry to a powder finish so it isn't necessary to apply powder

you just have to shop around and pick the foundation that suits you the best
Well they have this powder foundation, it goes on smooth but dries like a powder, to give that fresh and matte look. If you wear just powder that would be fine to start with, liquid I have used basically to cover up the imperfections of the skin, and then use the powder for a matte finish (no shine). I now use Bare Minerals make up, is expensive though
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
